Building The Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is a famous landmark in Paris, France. It is named after its designer/engineer Gustave Eiffel.

Students constructed their own Eiffel Tower using a stapler, newspapers, tape and a small figurine which made it easier to view the 3D nature of the structure.
We broke our project down into three sections: the upper tower, the middle section and the base.

The Eiffel Tower in France is made of iron and is 1050 feet! Much heavier and taller than our towers!
Students learned it took several years to build the Eiffel Tower and was completed in 1889. It took two years, two months, and five days to build to be exact!
VOILA! Our very own Eiffel Tower!
